Taxonomy
Coelodus malwaensis was named by Chiplonkar and Ghare (1977). Its type specimen is Kht 39/69, a set of teeth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khadlu, which is in a Cretaceous marine sandstone in the Nimar Sandstone Formation of India.
