Danubisphinctes was named by Zeiss (1968) [Sepkoski's age data: J Tith-l]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Lithacoceratinae by Zeiss et al. (1994); and to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002).

Synonyms
  • Pseudokatroliceras was named by Sarti (1988) [Sepkoski's age data: J Kimm-u]. It is not extant.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Danubisphinctes by Zeiss et al. (1994).
