Panopea parawhitfieldi

Taxonomy
Panope parawhitfieldi was named by Gardner (1928). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 2646 - Oak Grove [Oak Grove Sand], which is in a Burdigalian marine sandstone in the Oak Grove Formation of Florida.

It was recombined as Panopea parawhitfieldi by Woodring (1982) and Perrilliat (1994).
