Taxonomy
Eubrachiosaurus was named by Williston (1904). Its type is Eubrachiosaurus browni. It was considered monophyletic by Kammerer et al. (2013).

It was synonymized subjectively with Placerias by Lucas and Hunt (1993).

It was assigned to Dicynodontidae by Hay (1930); and to Stahleckeriinae by Kammerer et al. (2013).
