Anthracokeryx birmanicus

Taxonomy
Anthracokeryx birmanicus was named by Pilgrim and Cotter (1916). Its type specimen is GSI B621, a maxilla (right maxillary fragment with P3-M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pakokku District, Pondaung Sandstone, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial sandstone/siliciclastic in the Pondaung Formation of Myanmar. It is the type species of Anthracokeryx.

It was recombined as Anthracotherium birmanicum by Tsubamoto et al. (2002).
