Taxonomy
Anthracokeryx dawsoni was named by Wang (1985). Its type specimen is IVPP V7915, a maxilla (Complete upper jaw), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Heti Formation Locality 1, which is in a Sharamurunian channel marl/sandstone in the Heti Formation of China.
