Nerita (Bajanerita) banosensis was named by Squires and Saul (2002). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP loc. 10676, Los BaƱos Creek, which is in a Maastrichtian marine conglomerate in the Moreno Formation of California.
