Taxonomy
Corsania (Januncia) rhoga was named by Saul and Squires (1997). Its type specimen is LACMIP 7889, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP loc. 7047, which is in a Paleocene coastal sandstone in the Martinez Formation of California.
