Taxonomy
Deltocyathus insperatus was named by Goedert and Peckmann (2005). Its type locality is Middle Fork Satsop River, UWBM B6781, LACMIP 17426, which is in an Oligocene deep-water carbonate in the Lincoln Creek Formation of Washington.
