Taxonomy
Tellina (Moerella) nuculana was named by Dall (1909). Its type specimen is USNM 3529a, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Tellina nuculana by Weaver (1942); it was recombined as Nucula (Ennucula) nuculana by Moore (1963); it was recombined as Ennucula nuculana by Hendy (2020).
