Taxonomy

Dimorphophyllia oxylopha was named by Reuss (1864).

It was recombined as Cyathoseris oxylopha by Darga (1992).

Synonyms

Trochosmilia profunda was named by Reuss (1868). Its type locality is Monte Grumi, Castelgomberto, which is in a Rupelian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Castelgomberto Formation of Italy.

It was synonymized subjectively with Dimorphophyllia oxylopha by Frost (1981).
Leptophyllia tuberosa was named by Reuss (1868). Its type locality is Monte Grumi, Castelgomberto, which is in a Rupelian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Castelgomberto Formation of Italy.
