Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
A. R. Loeblich and H. Tappan 1984Test trochospiral, plano-convex, pseudoumbilicus on umbilical side; deep indentation or murus reflectus at base of apertural face attaches to previous septum internally but is not a true aperture and does not communicate
with chamber interior; aperture interiomarginal, midway
between umbilical region and periphery. Cretaceous.

Differs from the Osangulariidae in having a low basal aperture rather than a vertical slit in the apertural face, and in the distinctive indentation of the apertural face (murus reflectus).
