Taxonomy
Favia cretacea was named by Morycowa and Marcopoulou-Diacantoni (2002). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Agrostylia, Parnassos, which is in an Albian open shallow subtidal limestone in Greece.
It was recombined as Ovalastrea cretacea by Baron-Szabo (2009).
