Taxonomy
Campylognathoides indicus was named by Jain (1974). Its type specimen is ISI R48, a partial skull (Fused premaxillae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jurassic Pterosaur, Kota Fm.,, which is in a Toarcian/Aalenian terrestrial limestone in the Kota Formation of India.
