Taxonomy
Tiksitheca licis was named by Rozanov et al. (1969). Its type specimen is GIN 3593/26, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Tiksitheca.

It was recombined as Anabarites licis by Kouchinsky et al. (2009).
