Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
H. Tong et al. 2006Trionychoid turtle with oval-shaped and moderately domed shell, and the following adocid characters: punctated ornamentation on shell surface; incomplete neural series of six neurals, posterior pairs of costals meeting on the midline; two suprapygals: the first one very small and triangular and the second much larger; plastron shorter than carapace, with anterior lobe truncated and straight front margin. Differs from Adocus, Adocoides, Ferganemys and other adocids in having a neural formula of 4>6>6>6>6>5(7), with a six-sided second neural with short anterolateral sides, a large cervical scute which is wider than long, a longer and not medially expanded pectoral scute.
