Basilochelys macrobios
Taxonomy
Basilochelys macrobios was named by Tong et al. (2009). Its type specimen is MD8-2, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bon Kham Phok, which is in a Tithonian/Berriasian fluvial claystone in the Phu Kradung Formation of Thailand. It is the type species of Basilochelys.
