Taxonomy
Rana pusilla was named by Owen (1847) [type not numbered]. It is a compression preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Island of Bombay, which is in a Paleocene fluvial-lacustrine shale in India. It is the type species of Indobatrachus.
It was recombined as Oxyglossus pusillus by Stoliczka (1869); it was recombined as Indobatrachus pusillus by Noble (1930) and Verma (1965).
