Apricosiren ensomi
Taxonomy
Apricosiren ensomi was named by Evans and McGowan (2002). Its type specimen is DORCM GS61, a set of vertebrae (atlas centrum), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sunnydown Farm Quarry (clay: upper horizon; equivalent to DB 102/103 ), which is in a Berriasian/Berriasian lacustrine - small limestone/claystone in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Apricosiren.
