Triadobatrachus massinoti
Taxonomy
Protobatrachus massinoti was named by Piveteau (1804). Its type specimen is MNHN no MAE 126, a skeleton (mostly complete mold of a skeleton lacking some distal limb elements), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Betsieka, which is in an Induan/Smithian paralic shale in the Middle Sakamena Formation of Madagascar.
It was recombined as Triadobatrachus massinoti by Kuhn (1962), Rage and Roček (1989) and Sanchiz (1998).
