Mangilia eritima was named by Bush (1885) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene-Recent; Western Atlantic.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Kurtziella eritima by Gardner (1948); it was recombined as Glyphoturris eritima by Hendy et al. (2008).
