Taxonomy
Phasianella nebulosa was named by Lamarck (1822) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; circum-Caribbean.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Littorina nebulosa by Olsson and McGinty (1958); it was recombined as Littorina (Melarhaphe) nebulosa by Weisbord (1962); it was recombined as Littoraria nebulosa by Hendy et al. (2008).
