Taxonomy
Rhinobatus intermedius was named by Davis (1887). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sahil Alma (BMNH collection), which is in a Santonian carbonate lime mudstone in Lebanon.
It was recombined as Rhinobatos intermedius by Woodward (1889), Cappetta (1980) and Brito and Dutheil (2004).
