Bennettazhia oregonensis

Taxonomy
Pteranodon oregonensis was named by Gilmore (1928). Its type specimen is USNM, a limb element (humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nelson Creek, which is in an Albian marine shale in the Hudspeth Formation of Oregon. It is the type species of Bennettazhia.

It was recombined as Bennettazhia oregonensis by Nessov (1991) and Andres et al. (2014).
