Muzquizopteryx coahuilensis
Taxonomy
Muzquizopteryx coahuilensis was named by Frey et al. (2006). Its type specimen is UNAM IGM 8621, a skeleton (Near complete skeleton with soft tissue remains), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is El Rosario, which is in a Turonian/Coniacian offshore shelf lime mudstone/marl in Mexico. It is the type species of Muzquizopteryx.
