Goneplax arenicola
Taxonomy
Ommatocarcinus arenicola was named by Glaessner (1960). Its type specimen is NZGS DC 155, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mt. Brown, Waipara River, which is in an Otaian/Waiauan marine horizon in New Zealand.
It was recombined as Goneplax arenicola by Schweitzer et al. (2010).
