Taxonomy
Cypraea gabbiana was named by Guppy (1876) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Cypraea (Pustularia) gabbiana by Maury (1917), Anderson (1929) and Smith (1936); it was recombined as Jenneria gabbiana by Petuch (1988) and Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
