Taxonomy
Anadara (Caloosarca) notoflorida was named by Vokes (1969). Its type specimen is USNM 645912, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TU 797 - Alligator Alley [Pinecrest Fm], which is in a Pliocene coastal sandstone in the Tamiami Formation of Florida.
