Tmaegophioceras is a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Arietites laevis.

It was synonymized subjectively with Paltechioceras by Bremer (1965).

It was assigned to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); to Echioceratidae by Geczy and Meister (2007); and to Asteroceratinae by Howarth (2013).
