Taxonomy
Trajana (Nerva) woodringi was named by Vokes (1969). Its type specimen is USNM 646229, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TU 757 - Cativa [lower Gatun Fm], which is in a Tortonian coastal siltstone in the Gatun Formation of Panama. It is the type species of Trajana (Nerva).
