Dasyceps bucklandi
Taxonomy
Labyrinthodon bucklandi was named by Lloyd (1850). Its type specimen is Warwick Museum Gz 42, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kenilworth, which is in an Asselian fluvial siliciclastic in the Kenilworth Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Dasyceps.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Welles and Cosgriff (1965); it was recombined as Dasyceps bucklandi by Huxley (1859) and Paton (1975).
