Taxonomy
Volia athollandersoni was named by Molnar et al. (2002). Its type specimen is MNZ S37341, an other (right frontal), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wainibuku Cave, Viti Levu, which is in a Holocene cave claystone in Fiji. It is the type species of Volia.
