Taxonomy
Typhis (Rugotyphis) keenae was named by Gertman (1969). Its type specimen is USNM 646214, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TU 458 - Farley Creek, which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
