Xenocephalites is a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Macrocephalites neuquensis.
It was assigned to Macrocephalitidae by Imlay (1953) and Arkell et al. (1957); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Eurycephalitinae by Arthur et al. (1993), Parent (1998) and Poulton and Hall (2019).
