Taxonomy
Poirieria (Pazinotus) bowdenensis was named by Vokes (1970). Its type specimen is USNM 369621, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TU 705 (>4 mm) [Bowden Fm], which is in a Pliocene offshore marl in the Bowden Formation of Jamaica.
