Taxonomy
Paziella (Dallimurex) fusinoides was named by Gardner (1947). Its type specimen is USNM 371854, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 2564 - McCleland farm [Chipola Fm], which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
It was recombined as Paziella (Panamurex) fusinoides by Woodring (1959); it was recombined as Poirieria (Panamurex) fusinoides by Vokes (1970).
