Taxonomy
Thysanus vaughani was named by Weisbord (1971). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CH4 - Chipola River [Chipola Fm], which is in a Burdigalian coastal marl in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
It was recombined as Symbiangia vaughani by Wells (1972).
