Cerithium (Pseudoaluco) vientoensis was named by Clark and Durham (1946). Its type specimen is CAS 34971, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is U.C. Loc S 7333, which is in the Eocene of conglomerate Colombia.
