Calyptraea (Trochita) crenata

Taxonomy
Calyptraea crenata was named by Gardner (1947). Its type specimen is USNM 136053, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 2646 - Oak Grove [Oak Grove Sand], which is in a Burdigalian marine sandstone in the Oak Grove Formation of Florida.

It was recombined as Calyptraea (Trochita) crenata by Vokes (1975).
