Ocinebra (Favartia) cellulosa levicula was named by Dall (1889) [TYPE SPECIMEN: Lectotype used.]. It is extant. Its type specimen is USNM 93271, a shell.

It was recombined as Murexiella (Murexiella) levicula by Vokes (1968).
