Triton (Lampusia) krebsii was named by Mörch (1877). It is extant.

It was recombined as Cymatium (Septa) krebsii by Clench and Turner (1957) and Weisbord (1962); it was recombined as Monoplex krebsii by Landau and Marques da Silva (2010) and Beu (2010).
