Taxonomy
Paschatherium plaziati was named by Marandat (1989). Its type specimen is FDN 165, a tooth (right m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fordones, which is in an Eocene fluvial siliciclastic in the Calcaire de Ventenac Formation of France.
