Metoposaurus bakeri

Taxonomy
Buettneria bakeri was named by Case (1931). Its type specimen is UMMP 13055, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Elkins Place Bone Bed (UMMP), which is in a Carnian/Norian channel sandstone in the Santa Rosa Sandstone Formation of Texas.

It was synonymized subjectively with Metoposaurus fraasi by Chowdhury (1965); it was recombined as Metoposaurus bakeri by Long and Murry (1995).
