Otischalkia elderae
Taxonomy
Otischalkia elderae was named by Hunt and Lucas (1991). Its type specimen is TMM 31025-263, a limb element (Humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Otis Chalk Quarry 1, SMU Loc. 122, TMM 31025, which is in a Carnian/Norian crevasse splay mudstone/mudstone in the Colorado City Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Otischalkia.
