Brachysuchus megalodon

Taxonomy
Brachysuchus megalodon was named by Case (1929). Its type specimen is UMMP 10336, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Near Otis Chalk, Brachysuchus holotype, which is in a Carnian/Norian fluvial conglomerate in the Colorado City Formation of Texas.

It was recombined as Phytosaurus megalodon by Gregory (1962); it was recombined as Angistorhinus megalodon by Long and Murry (1995).
