Longosuchus meadei
Taxonomy
Typothorax meadei was named by Sawin (1947). Its type specimen is TMM 31185-98, a skull (Partial skeleton including skull and lower jaws, postcrania), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Otis Chalk Quarry 3A, which is in a Carnian/Norian crevasse splay mudstone in the Colorado City Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Longosuchus meadei by Hunt and Lucas (1990), Long and Murry (1995), Parker (2007), Parker and Martz (2010), Desojo et al. (2013) and Parker (2016).
