Paronaella hipposidericus was named by Foreman (1975).
It was recombined as Foremanella hipposidericus by Baumgartner (1984); it was recombined as Deviatus hipposidericus by Li (1986); it was synonymized subjectively with Deviatus diamphidius by Zügel (1997).
