Gnathosaurus macrurus

Taxonomy
Pterodactylus macrurus was named by Seeley (1869). Its type specimen is SMC J5339, a mandible (Anterior part of mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Langton Matravers pterosaurs (PROXY), which is in a Berriasian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Gnathosaurus macrurus by Howse and Milner (1995) and Unwin (2003).
