Taxonomy
Plataleorhynchus streptophorodon was named by Howse and Milner (1995). Its type specimen is BMNH R.11967, a partial skull (Rostrum), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Langton Matravers pterosaurs (PROXY), which is in a Berriasian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the United Kingdom.
