Taxonomy
Burmirhynchia jirbaensis was named by Muir-Wood (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jirba Range, which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bihen Limestone Formation of Somalia.
